eMotive
by various Non Profit Music artists

eMotive is produced in a new way: all profits from its album sales go to Doctors Without Borders. This and other similar projects are waves of the future. Projects are aimed at the greater good, but not at the expense of the individuals providing the services. For example, I'm going to donate the music I've written to them. If they use it and this helps Doctors Without Borders, then I feel like I've done some good. The doctors continue to help people in need of medical attention who otherwise may not have received it.

Okay, that's the principle: spiritual, humanitarian, and evolutionary. How's the music? In a few words: peaceful, interesting, and beautiful. Four Spanish composers — Jorge Grundman ("Grundman"), David Caballero ("Gnomusy"), Eduardo Laguillo, and Joaquin Taboada — contributed to the eMotive compilation. The twelve selections include both instrumental and vocal pieces. Although each number is different in structure and character, they share the same theme: Emotive.

In short, the production is excellent, the musicianship is top quality, and the songs are well crafted and imaginative. The CD is listed as New Age, although World Music and even fantasy would describe some of the numbers equally as well. Above all, "emotive" describes this collection best. If you like this style of music, you should like the textures presented here.

I'm only sharing one tract here, but you'll get a general idea of what the CD is like. It's called Ballerina. It has somewhat of a dreamlike quality. (My daughter rightly described it as "Nutcracker-esque.") If you like what you hear, buy the CD. You'll enjoy the music and be supporting an excellent cause and an evolutionary, social structure.
