MUSIC
Here's a collection of music that I've written over the years. All songs are available in .mp3 format. You'll find many different styles of music; you'll probably find at least one that you like. Newest additions are marked in red. The "Five Star Rating" indicates the most popular download for the previous month. Click on a title and (if you're using IE), a window pops up. Select "Open." Depending on your Internet connection and file size, this could take a minute or two for it to start.
You'll find that Sonic Access and the Sonic Rites Initiations are experimental pieces.ET Nature Sounds is a class of sounds all its own, describing (in a few cases) weather conditions on other local planets.
The Galaxy pieces are more civilized in that they are not atonal (with the exception of Descent into Matter). Odds & Ends contains relatively normal music, and includes some non-Lightlounge* clips. Passing the Time contains music from a while back. I wrote these somewhat normal songs when I was a professional, non-famous, musician.

ET NATURE SOUNDS A few of us Loungites chipped in, and we sent up several space probes to land on four celestial bodies. We equipped each probe with a digital audio recorder so we could record the sounds there. Unfortunately, we couldn't scrape together enough cash to include video cameras. That's a shame because one of the tracks — Neptunian Weather — sounds as if we recorded a life form of sorts. Lastly, the astute listener will notice that on the Lava Lakes of Mercury track, we overlaid some music about half-way through. So, sit back in the relative comfort and safety of Earth's biosphere and enjoy the show.
- Jovian Storm (10305kb)
- Sunset on Triton (8593kb)
- Neptunian Weather (11233kb)
- Lava Lakes of Mercury (4449kb)

PASSING THE TIME I wrote these tunes when I was a teenager. Many are mushy love songs, but what can you expect from a Moon in Pisces? I've coded them as such: (S) = studio; (B) = "basement tapes"; (P) = my band, "Pure Grain." Additional notes below.
- Here We Go Again (S)
- Loves in the Air (S)
- Uncle Ernie (P)
- Never Disappear (S)
- Cried in the Rain (B)
- Quest of a Dream (B)
- Mooda (B)
- Hurricane of Love (B)
- Martin Magee (B)
- Oh, Caroline (P)
- Guitar Man (P)
- Reason to Live (B)
- Angels (B)
(S) = Jody Gatwood – Violin; Rob Windsor – Drums; Me – vocals, guitar, bass.
(B) = Me on everything; being a struggling musician, recorded on a cheap two track tape player.
(P) = I forgot everyone's name in the band. Sorry guys. I played rhythm guitar and sang, except for "Uncle Ernie," which I sang, played bass, and acoustic guitar.

FRACTAL MUSIC Fractal music takes a theme an develops it along mathematically defined lines. I named the series "Inner Vision" because each piece develops the same theme, which subtly changes – fractal- and life-like. This avoids it becoming monotonous. To me, once music becomes monotonous, it quits being music. If you like them, you can download the whole "CD" — Inner Vision CD. While there are only four selections offered here, the CD contains all 11 of them.
- Inner Vision 06 (1340kb)
- Inner Vision 09 (4293kb)
- Inner Vision 10 (2214kb)
- Inner Vision CD (25497kb)
